James William White

Mr. James William "Jim" White, 83, of Dobson passed away Monday July 31, 2006 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. White was born in Surry County on March 25, 1923 to Charlie and Edna White. He was a veteran of WWII and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He retired from the Elkin Police Department. Surviving are his wife of sixty years Freeda Stanley White; daughter Billie White of Eden; son Brent White and wife Lisa of Troy and grandsons Andy White of Archdale and Stephen White of Charlotte. He is also survived by sisters Vena Draughn, Kathleen Trivette and Brenda Davis and husband Wade. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Irene Church and two brothers Sanford White and Charles White. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday August 3, 2006 at Fairview Baptist church. Visitation will be at the church from 6:30 to 8:00 PM Wednesday August 2, 2006.
