James V. Wilkins

James V. Wilkins was born May 11, 1948, to James H. Wilkins and Ruth White Wilkins. He passed away November 15, 2008, and was a lifelong resident of Miami FL, where he graduated from West Miami High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Jim was a loving brother to his family. His half-sisters, Kelly White Jones of Red Bay, AL, and Jackie Wilkins Pyles of Winston-Salem, NC, a half-brother, Gary N. White of Portland, OR, and a stepfather, Jimmy D. White of Red Bay, AL, survive him. Also to cherish his memory is a special aunt, Hazel Nix of Danville, VA, and a good friend and neighbor, A.J. Jones of Miami, FL. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery in Mount Airy, NC, with Rev. Victor G. Pyles, Jr. officiating. There is no stated visitation.
