James Thomas "J.T." Woods

Mr. James Thomas "J.T." Woods, 68, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-salem. Mr. Woods was born December 25, 1939, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Roy Sanders and Stella Dunkley Woods. He was the owner of J.T. Woods and Son Plumbing Company, a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church, and a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Sherwood Woods of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Paul Joyce of Charlotte; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Allison Woods of Mount Airy; four grandchildren, Joseph Joyce, Emily Joyce, John Joyce, and Ty Woods; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Marie Woods of Stuart, VA, and Roger and Brenda Woods of Bassett, VA. The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church. The service will be conducted by Father Eric Kowalski, and burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens, with military honors by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mount Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
