Mrs. Jane Linskey Haynes, age 84, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born November 7, 1934 to the late Martin and Dora Williams Linskey. Mrs. Haynes was retired from Northern Hospital of Surry County and was a faithful member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Joseph “Joe” Haynes; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice Shelton, Janet and Wayne Marshall, Teresa and Carl Shelton, Margaret and Jonathan Bandy; sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Trish Haynes, David and Evelyn Haynes; grandchildren; Neoshia Newman, Wadena Newman, Crystal Hopkins and husband Josh, Brandon Marshall, Landon Marshall and wife Dakota, Laiken Shelton, Kaitlen Shelton, Cody Hatcher, Jake Haynes and Emily Nicholson; great-grandchildren, Maurice Newman - Vargas, Michela Newman-Vargas, Alannah Jessie, Cordae Young, Luke Hatcher and Brady Hatcher; Special Caretaker, Melinda Hill. In addition to her parents Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by a daughter Janine Haynes; grandchildren, Daniel Haynes and Zack Shelton; brother, Jean Linskey. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Maple Grove United Methodist Church with services conducted by Rev. Bud Cameron. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the church.
