Janice Lowe Hauser

Mrs. Janice Lowe Hauser, age 79, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Janice embodied the love of God through her compassionate actions, warm spirit and avid prayer life. Known for her affinity for children and babies, she embraced everyone with heartfelt hugs, effortlessly sharing her kindness. Her ability to see the good in people made her a beloved figure with her church family and anyone who met her. A pianist in her younger years, Janice found joy in music and would often be heard singing or seen clapping her hands to the beat of songs without realizing she was doing it. Throughout the years many friends and family enjoyed her homemade fried apple pies. She enjoyed working in her yard and cultivating a container garden that reflected her nurturing nature. Janice was born on December 1, 1946, in Surry County to the late Ander and Martha Billings Lowe. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her brother, Ted Lowe.
