Jason Matthew Davis

Mr. Jason Matthew Davis, 34, of Mt. Airy, passed away unexpected Thursday, December 13, 2018, at his home.  He was born in Montgomery County on March 29, 1984, to Gurnie Edward Davis, Jr. and Debra Sechrest Davis.  Mr. Davis proudly served our country in the United States Army in the Iraq War.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis is survived by his loving wife, Amber Ellis Davis; a daughter, Zoe Davis; sons, Austin Davis, and Bryan Davis; a sister, Barbie Davis; a step-sister, April McPeak; step-father, Jeff Stinson; step-mother, Dawn Davis; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marguerite and Phillip Ellis; brother-in-law, Thomas Ellis; grandmother, Frances Johnson; grandfather, Ronald Sechrist.  A memorial service will be held Monday, December 17, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewayne Troutt officiating, and military honors will be conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain.  The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
