Jean Maxine Hollandsworth Cassell

Ms. Jean Maxine Hollandsworth Cassell, age 82 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. She was born in Franklin County on November 17, 1943 to the late James Austin Alexander Hollandsworth and Lilly Pearl Spencer Hollandsworth. In addition to her parents, Ms. Cassell was preceded in death by two daughters, Cynthia Jean Cassell and Angela Marie Cassell; six brothers, William, Oscar, Herndon, Ledford, Joseph, and Louis; and four sisters, Vergie, Doris, Nora, and Ruby. She was a member of Ridgeway Church of Christ. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and being outside.

Ms. Cassell is survived by two sons, Charles Evan Cassell and Ronald Lee Cassell, both of Meadows of Dan; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Carl Hollandsworth of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Bottorf officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
