Jean Inez Marshall Hooker

Mrs. Jean Inez Marshall Hooker, 98, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday night, January 15, 2024, at Northern Regional Hospital.  Mrs. Hooker was born November 4, 1925, in Carroll County, VA, one of six children born to the late Delly Emanuel and Myrtle Ola Tobler Marshall.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hooker was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Franklin Hooker; two sisters, Martha Jane Goins and Sylvia Irene Thornburg; and three brothers, William O. Marshall, Claude W. Marshall, and Howard E. Marshall.  The funeral service will be held Friday, January 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  A private interment will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.  No formal visitation will be held.
