Jennifer Kay (Felts) Smith

Ms. Jennifer Kay Felts Smith, age 63 of Mount Airy, passed away on April 5, 2025, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Smith was born on April 25, 1961, in Surry County to Wade Franklin and Joyce Easter Felts. Jennifer was a loving daughter, sister, aunt; cousin, and friend. She will be so missed but will forever be in our hearts and on our minds. She is now with our Lord and can walk over heaven. Surviving are her parents, Wade and Joyce Felts; two sisters and brother-in-law, Sandy Felts Pridgen and Alex, Kim Felts O’Neal; three special nieces, Jaden O’Neal and special friend Austin Stevens, Nicole Pridgen, Colby Pridgen; special nephew, Jared O’Neal and wife Jamie; great nephew, Cass O’Neal; special friends, Hannah Mitchell and Janet Tucker; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends; her special dog “Ollie”. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harlie and Kay Easter, her paternal grandparents, Harlie and Effie Felts; and her brother-in-law, Edward O’Neal. A celebration of life will be held on April 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Woodland Baptist Church in Mount Airy with Reverend Pete King officiating. No formal visitation will be held at this time. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Pruitt Health in Elkin, especially Linda, Lib, and Karen. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy have been entrusted with the arrangements.
