Jerry Wayne Chappell

Mr. Jerry Wayne Chappell, 68, of Cana, VA passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born in Carroll County on February 5, 1955, to the late Cecil and Rachel Joyce Hall Chappell.  Mr. Chappell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed.  He is survived by his wife, Caren Findley Chappell; daughters and son-in-law, Ashley Bowman and Ricky, Lillith Marie Payne, Megan Nemecek; a son, Corey Nemecek; grandchildren, Lydia Bowman, Eve Payne, and Jade Lezzard; sisters, Darlene Wilson, Linda Thomas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy Chappell and Renee, Sonny Chappell and Peggy; a special niece, Rachel Hiatt and many other nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Chappell was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Chappell; a brother, Darrell Chappell.  A graveside service will be held Monday, February 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Mount Bethel Moravian Church Cemetery with the Rev.
