Jerry Wade Hall

Mr. Jerry Wade Hall, age 85, of Pinnacle passed away on Tuesday morning September 9, 2025, at Surry Community Health Center. He was born July 19, 1940, in Surry County to the late Oscar Harrison Hall and Thelma Inscore Hall. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1963-1965 and retired from the Winston-Salem Fire Department after 25 years of service. Jerry was a farmer when he wasn’t at the Fire Department. When he had free time, he was an outstanding golfer. He also loved to travel, specifically to Spring Training to see baseball teams.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Victoria Louise Hall; and two sons, Michael Wade Hall and David Harrison Hall; and sister Jane Hall Caudle.

Surviving is his son, Stephen Chad Hall of Pinehurst, NC along with several nieces and nephews.

A service of worship and celebration of Jerry’s life will be held in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy on Monday September 15, 2025, at 1:00PM.

The family would like to thank his long-time neighbors of Dearon Village who were vital in assisting him during the last few months. The family would also like to thank the teams at Surry Community Health Center and Mountain Valley Hospice for the love and care shown to Jerry during his illness.
