Jerry Levern Marion

Mr. Jerry Levern Marion, 47, of 164 Liberty Lane, Mount Airy, passed away Sunday night, June 7, 2015, at his home. Mr. Marion was born December 5, 1967, in Surry County, to Jobe Leon Marion, Sr. and Mary Ruth Draughn Marion. Jerry was the owner and operator of Jerry's Automotive in Boonville and Marion's Automotive and Repair Service in Jonesville. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Royal Marion of the home; two daughters, Amelia Dawn Marion and Piper Leann Marion, both of the home; a son, Joshua Luke Marion of the home; two adopted sons, Michael Steven Marion of Elkin and Denny Wade Marion of Jonesville; two stepchildren, Kayla Stanley of Dobson and Laken Stanley of the home; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; his parents, Jobe Leon Marion, Sr. and Mary Ruth Draughn Marion of Mount Airy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Brenda Marion and Joseph and Beth Marion, all of Mount Airy; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Freeman and Della Royal of North Wilkesboro. The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Turkey Ford Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Atkins and the Rev. Kermit L. Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes before the funeral service.
