Jerry "Todd" Stanley

Jerry “Todd” Stanley, 61, of Dobson, North Carolina passed away after a long, courageous battle of health problems. Born January 11, 1965, in Surry County to Jerry Lee and Freddie Jean Poindexter Stanley. Todd had exceptional strength in his faith and a profound devotion to God despite the trials he faced in life. He cultivated his relationship with Christ as a member of Church of Christ at Fairview. He was an avid UNC Chapel Hill fan, as well as a NASCAR Racing fan. Todd was a loving and caring man whose warm smile could brighten any room. Selfless by nature, he was always willing to put others before himself. Along with his parents, left to cherish his memory is his sister, Jamie Stanley Blake; nephews, Jared Blake of Vancouver, WA, and Roman Blake, of Tampa, FL; aunt, Peggy Combs; special caretaker, Mary Kay Snow; and his loving church family. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Fern and Fred Poindexter; paternal grandparents, Eva and Alvin Stanley; and aunt and uncle, Nelda and Bobby Dean Stanley. The family visitation and viewing will be Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Church of Christ at Fairview located at 740 Wilmoth Rd. Dobson, NC 27017.The funeral service will take place at 3:00 PM immediately following the visitation. Bodie Wingler and Jodi Mitchell will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
