Jerry Shelton Thomas

Mr. Jerry Shelton Thomas, age 76 of Meadows of Dan, Virginia passed away at Riverstone Senior Living at Danville on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. He was born in Durham, North Carolina on May 3, 1950, to the late Clifton Talmadge Thomas, Sr and Billie Rippy Shelton Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Brandon Thomas, and a brother, Clifton Talmadge Thomas, Jr. Jerry enjoyed music, singing, The Beatles, and was a Duke fan. He was a generous person and loved his dogs, and his family; especially being Grandpa to his grandchildren.

Left to cherish the memories of Jerry are his daughter, Jennifer Stone-Seamans (Michael Seamans); stepson, Jorge Newton; two grandchildren, Courtney Stone (Will Sharp) and Brandon Stone; two nephews, Jeff Thomas and Jay Thomas (Ashley); several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Rudy.

The funeral service for Mr. Thomas will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Matthew Wilmoth officiating.
