Jewel Arlene Hiatt Johnson

Mrs. Jewel Arlene Hiatt Johnson, age 75, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully Friday morning, October 9, 2026, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Johnson was born April 10, 1951, in Carroll County, to the late Posey Lester Hiatt and Cassie Williams Hiatt. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be deeply missed by who knew her. Mrs. Johnson was well known for her caring nature, whether she was working at Spencers, or providing in-home care to the ones in need. Left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery Hiatt and Carmen; grandchildren, Reese Hiatt, Cortland Hiatt, Mandy Hiatt; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Melinda Shinault and Tim. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Dale Johnson. Per Mrs. Johnson’s request there will not be any formal services held at this time. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Johnson family.
