Jimmie Raleigh Inman

Mr. Jimmie Raleigh Inman, 72, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday morning, July 3, 2013, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Inman was born October 19, 1940, in Surry County, the son of the late Walter Lee and Iris Dell Chilton Inman. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Rachel Ann Marshall Inman of the home; a daughter, Jamie Mendenhall, wife of Al Mendenhall, of Walnut Cove; a grandson, Avery Mendenhall; a brother, Walter Lee Inman of Mount Airy; two sisters, Carolyn Watts of Colorado and Charlene Inman of Shelby; and special friends, Tanya Beck, Jake Tate, and Pete Woods, all of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Inman was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lane Inman. At Jimmie's request, there will be no public memorial service. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the Inman home, 146 Dewberry Road in Mount Airy, for a time of remembrance. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
