Jimmy Michael Hardy

Mr. Jimmy Michael Hardy, age 72 of Siloam entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hardy was born on October 18, 1953, in Surry County to the late Jimmy Clark and Opal Irene Hamlin Hardy. He was a graduate of Surry Central High School and began his work career with Hardy Brothers Trucking. Later, he started his own truck service business and operated it for 25 years. After he closed his garage, he began a home renovation business until he retired. He was a faithful member of Siloam Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Karen Poindexter Hardy; daughter, Emily Hardy Cave (Matthew); son Zachary Hardy (Sarah); grandchildren, Kaitlin Cave, Laney Cave Shore (Logan), Mallory Cave, Jack Hardy, Saul Hardy; great grandchild, Sutton Shore; brothers and sister-in-law, Rex Hardy, Gerald Hardy (Stephaine); along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Sharon Smith Hardy. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday July 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Siloam Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Faw officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Step-by-Step Fund c/o Hugh Chatham Health Foundation, Attn: Ali Wood, 180 Parkwood Drive, Elkin, NC 28621.
