Jimmy Merle Wilson

Mr. Jimmy Merle Wilson, 66, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 19, 2014, at Universal Healthcare in King. Mr. Wilson was born May 12, 1948, in Surry County, one of eight children born to Floyd Harding and Eva Mae Haymore Wilson. He is survived by his father, Floyd Harding Wilson of Mount Airy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Chrystal Brim of Mount Airy and Theresa and Johnny Wilcox of North Wilkesboro; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Donnie and Susie Wilson and Mike and Theresia Wilson, all of Mount Airy, Steve and Sherry Wilson of Lewisville, and Dennis Wilson of Hereford, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Mae Haymore Wilson; and a sister, Linda Darlene Wilson. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens, with Dr. Darrell Tate officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, and other times at the home of Floyd Harding Wilson, 256 Mountain View Road, Mount Airy.
