Joey Douglas Burch

Mr. Joey Douglas Burch, 56, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at his home. Mr. Burch was born in Surry County on January 29, 1956 to the late James Anderson Burch and Virginia Collins Burch Leftwich. He worked at Jenny's Frame Shop before becoming disabled and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Carol Leftwich of Lewisville; four aunts, Annie Lee Vernon, Rachel Puckett, Ruth Holt all of Mt. Airy, Hazel Surratt of Cana, VA; niece, Valerie Cowden; nephew, Jason Cowden. In addition to his parents, Mr. Burch was preceded in death by his step father, Roscoe Leftwich; a sister, Nancy Cowden; a Brother, Andy Burch. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
