Mr. Joey Martin Mears, 50, of 413 Austin Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Unity Church Cemetery, with the Rev. David Sechrist and the Rev. Buford Jessup officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Services, Inc., P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030 to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
