John Alfred Carrico

Mr. John Alfred Carrico, 86, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday night, August 4, 2022, at Central Continuing Care.  Mr. Carrico was born April 1, 1936, in Carroll County, VA, the son of the late Thomas Jackson Carrico and Ina Brady Burcham Carrico.  John graduated from Franklin High School in 1955.  He served our country in the United States Navy for four years during the late 1950s, and he worked as a security guard at Wayne Farms in Dobson for many years.  He is survived by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Carrico was preceded in death by several half-sisters and half-brothers.  No formal visitation or service will be held.  A private inurnment will take place at the Bluemont Presbyterian Church Cemetery, located on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
