John Dale Hardy

Mr. John Dale Hardy, 90, of Siloam, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, surrounded by family. Mr. Hardy was born February 1, 1935, in Surry County, to John Marvin and Bessie Simpson Hardy. John was a loving husband, father, Papa, and community member. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Anne Hardy of Mount Airy; his granddaughter, Megan Hardy of Mount Airy; his grandson, John B. Hardy and his wife, Carson; his great-granddaughter, Sylvia Hardy of High Point; his sister-in-law, Sarah Simpson of Mount Airy; and his niece, Paula Simpson of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Simpson Hardy; and his son, John Michael Hardy. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 20206, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Scott Coleson and the Rev. Dennis Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, with a blessing by Rev. Mark Mayes. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
