John Joseph "Jack" McCann Jr

Mr. John Joseph “Jack” McCann Jr., age 90 of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at his home. He was born in Hudson County, New Jersey, on September 25, 1933 to the late John Joseph McCann Sr. and Grace Serbe McCann. Mr. McCann proudly served our country in the United Sates Army. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Marie Scibona McCann; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Rutt (Charles), Colleen Rumplasch, Mary Sullivan (Joseph); sons and daughter-in-law, Jim McCann, Thomas McCann (Katrina), John McCann; fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Catherine Dante; twenty-two nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. McCann was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Shaffery; brothers, Rev. Thomas McCann, and Charles McCann. A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Father Peter Nouck. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time for the service at the church.
