John Alexander Robinson, 75, of Lambsburg, Virginia passed away surrounded in love and holding the hands of "His Girls" on April 24th, 2025 at his home. He was born on April 5th, 1950 in Baywood, Virginia to the late William "Woodrow" Robinson and Alice "Pauline" Anderson Robinson. Johnny worked many years for Pepsi and Rental Towel Services before owning his own business working as both a carpenter and contractor. He could build or fix just about anything.
Johnny was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Nelma Upchurch Robinson. Johnny was very proud of his family including his daughters, Janene (and PNut) Moss, Kristie (and Jimmy) Newman, and Johnetta (and Neil) Dawson. Once those grandchildren and great grandchildren came along, he was even more in love. Alex Moss (and Faith Ludwig), Faith Baxley (and Nate), John Austin Robinson (and Savannah Blizzard), Jacklyn Underwood (and Robert Fuentes), Isaiah and Jasper Dawson. The great granddaughters Naylene and Juniper Baxley were more than special to him. He loved them all very much.
Johnny was a devoted Christian man who loved to hunt, fish, work in his yard, and even rode horses in his youth and when his girls were growing up. Johnny also enjoyed spending time with his dear friends - all the guys and girls from breakfast meetings at Daddy Sam's, and the Copper Pot with special friends like Kevin Bennett and Henry Key. The family would like to specially thank them for all their help and support the last few weeks.
Johnny will always be remembered by his contagious laughter that could light up a room, his good hearted humor, and the fact that he would do anything to help anyone he could. He was a man of few words, but always found a way to show his immense love through his actions.
Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 6-8 pm at Moody's Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Memorial Services will be the next day, Sunday April 27th, 2025 At Lambsburg Baptist Church at 2 pm with Reverend Dud Spencer officiating.
