Johnny Lee Childress

Mr. Johnny Lee Childress, 49, of King, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Universal Health Care in King. He was born in Surry County on June 23, 1965 to Linda Jean McCormick Poff and to Billy Gray Childress. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Linda and Ronnie Poff of Mt. Airy; his father Billy Gray Childress of Mt. Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Mavis Childress of Ararat, VA; a stepbrother, Chris Poff of Mt. Airy. Mr. Childress was preceded in death by a sister, Billie Jean Childress Oakley and a brother, Danny Childress. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral home Chapel with the Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating.
