Johnny Ray Childress

Mr. Johnny Ray Childress, age 60, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born on December 22, 1964, in Surry County to Nancy Jenkins. He was proceeded in death by his stepdad, Chester Jenkins; his grandma, Edna Gladys Willard; and his uncles, Don Childress and Doug Childress. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Kimberly Childress; his children, Justin Childress, Justine Childress, Aaron Atkins, and Zoey Childress; his grandchildren Aurora Childress and Leyla Chrisley; his sisters, Debbie Small and Kathy Bowles; and several beloved cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends. Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM  Sunday, June 8, 2025  at Second Chance Church in Dobson, NC. Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the church with Rev. Terry Coe officiating. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in be serving the Childress family.
