Joseph Tinsley Angel

Mr. Joseph Tinsley “Joe” Angel, 54, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Angel was born April 30, 1971, in Surry County, the son of the late Gary Tindsley and Brenda Lawyer Angel. Joe worked at Cardinal Glass Industries and attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church. He was a good man in every sense of the word. Known for his kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit, Joe had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued. He was a friend to all – quick to lend a hand, share a laugh, or offer encouragement when it was most needed. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Hillary Angel; a stepson and his wife, Corey and Morgan Newman; a grandson, Teddy Angel; three stepgrandchildren, Cayden Newman, Cambrey Newman, and Caysten Newman; and a sister, Tina Angel-Dixon. In addition to his parents, Mr. Angel was preceded in death by his fiancée, Tammy Price. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, with Dr. Jonathan Barker officiating. Burial will follow in The Peoples Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the church. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
