Judith Faye Johnson Hodges

Mrs. Judith Faye Johnson Hodges, 73, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Surry County on January 9, 1942 to the late Everette and Pearlie Mae Slate Johnson. Mrs. Hodges was a retired Social Worker with Surry County DSS with the Foster Care Program and was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jack Leroy Hodges, Sr.; four children and spouses, Debby Frost and husband Richard, Jack Hodges, Jr. and wife Tammy, Angie Collins and husband Ricky, Toby Hodges and wife Lisa; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a special great granddaughter, Alli Mosley; a brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Johnson and Geraldine; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by a sister, Joan House; a brother, James Johnson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Blue Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Moore and the Rev. Tommy Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
