Judith "Judy" Sue Winfree Wheeler

Mrs. Judith “Judy” Sue Winfree Wheeler, 80 of Cana, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday December 15, 2025, with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Surry County on September 22, 1945, to the late John and Lillie Ayers Winfree. Judy was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory are her husband. Michael C. Wheeler of the home; daughter, April Mayes; her twin sister Jenny Hiatt and husband Leonard; two other sisters, Jo Griest and Jamie Winfree; nieces Denise Monk and Jennifer Williams; and by two nephews, Lee S. Schuch and John Schuch. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at a later date and time. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
