Judy Hardy Brintle, 85, passed away October 9, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born June 9, 1941, to the late James Harbour and Martha Columbia Hardy. Judy was a member of Redeeming Grace Baptist Church and faithful servant of God. She was a hard worker and dedicated caretaker. For more than 40 years she worked in the medical field as a certified nursing assistant caring for those who needed her most. In her free time, she found joy in tending to her flower garden, she had a unique talent to plant and grow flowers, especially pansies. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Judy leaves behind a legacy of love and faithfulness. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Denise Huffman and Stuart; son and daughter-in-law, Walter Lane and Alicia; grandchildren, Colt Lane, Whitney Chilton, Luke Lane, Olivia Rozier, Brooklyn Lane, Dalton Lane, and Jake Lane; great grandchildren, Lennon Chilton, Presley Chilton, Indie Chilton, Phoebe Chilton, and Harlan Lane; as well as special friend, Linda Cook. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Max Brintle; son, Randy Lane; sisters, Kaye Hardy White, and infant, Betty Jean Hardy; and brothers, Bill Hardy, Troy Hardy, Thaddaeus Hardy, Jimmy Hardy, and Jack Hardy. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Poindexter officiating. Burial to follow in the Dover Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dunmore Plantation Assisted Living, as well as Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for their loving care for Judy. Flowers will be accepted or donations be made to the Dunmore Plantation Christmas Fund at 515 W. Kapp Street, Dobson, NC 27017.
