Mrs. Judy Turner Foley, age 76 of Ridgeway, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. She was born in Patrick County, VA on March 30, 1950 to the late John Henry Turner and Eleanor Mae Hatcher Turner.

Judy graduated from Woolwine High School in 1968 and pursued an RN degree, becoming an occupational nurse at Fieldcrest Cannon for many years until the plant closed, taking great care of her coworkers and developing a family at work.

Family and faith were the foundations of Judy’s life. She looked after others tirelessly and if any life event occurred for family and friends, Judy would have a card mailed for the occasion. Her grandchildren were the great delight of her life and attending their events was her favorite place to be.

Throughout her life, she was well known for her beautiful singing voice. She enjoyed singing in the church choir at Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she was a member. Her cooking was legendary, especially her desserts, which were a highlight at every gathering. She even won a cooking contest and had one of her recipes featured in Taste of Home magazine!

Judy loved fishing and picnicking, but shopping was a favorite pastime. She and Larry often traveled to Ohio for their anniversary, where Judy shopped at many antique stores, and her joy in finding good deals led to fabulous decorating and gifts for both her home and for her family and friends. She was generous to a fault with both her time and her gifts. Her heart of service and her deep love for others leave a legacy of kindness and care in all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry Howard Foley; one daughter, Kimberly Handy (Richard); two sons, Brandon Foley (Sarah) and Brent Foley (Tiffany); eleven grandchildren, Lindsey Dellinger (Michael), Lauren Rodriguez (Oscar), Kyndal Handy, Grahm Foley, Harper Foley, Braden Webb, Avery Foley, Milli Foley, Maddie Webb, Easton Webb, and Bennett Foley; one sister, Janet Moore (Nelson) and one brother, John Turner (Rozina).

Funeral service for Mrs. Foley will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Aldridge officiating.
