Judy Carolyn Ramey Lowe

Mrs. Judy Carolyn Ramey Lowe, 67, of Mount Airy, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 10, 2015, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Lowe was born May 5, 1948, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Rhudy Ford Ramey and Fannie Adletha Lowe Hawks Ramey. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a dear friend to many. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Ander Lowe of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Brad Barfield of Lawrenceburg, KY, and Patty and Danny Creed of Mount Airy; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Todd Shaw of Jacksonville, FL, and Shawn and Stephanie Lowe of Kernersville; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren "on the way;" and a sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Marvin Beasley of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by a son, Chuck Hull; and a brother and sister-in-law, Billy Gray and Bobbie Hawks. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015, at 2:00 PM at New Birth Church, with the Rev. Dana Cook, the Rev. Sam Holder, and the Rev. Butch Holder officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
