Judy Mae Haynes Martz

Judy Mae Haynes Martz, age 78 of Stuart, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Sovah – Martinsville Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on January 5, 1948, to the late Charlie Marshall Haynes and Esprie Mae Lawson Martz. In addition to her parents, Ms. Martz was preceded in death by three brothers, Maynard Haynes, Nelson Haynes and Calvin Haynes. She was a member of Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed collecting jewelry, dolls and knick knacks, and spent her time doing diamond painting art.

Ms. Martz is survived by three children, Ronnie Lawson (Nancy) of Stuart, Rhonda Owens (Tony) of Stuart and Teresa Martin (Marty) of Lawsonville, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Brandon Lawson (Ashley) of Lawsonville, Tony Owens, Jr. (Katie) of Stuart, Julia Rowland (Jessie) of Patrick Springs, Dustin Martin (Kelli) of Danbury, North Carolina, Richard Martin (Miranda) of Lawsonville and Trey Martin of Lawsonville; twelve great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jackson, Taylor, Jalen, McKinley, Alexis, Tony III, Owen, Tucker, Mattie Jo, Gabe and Dylan; a sister, Winifred Mangrum of Stuart; and a special aunt, Elvie Turner of Stuart.

Funeral services for Ms. Martz will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Kenneth Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
