Karen Ann Morefield Combs

Mrs. Karen Ann Morefield Combs, 67, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday morning, January 31, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Combs was born December 8, 1955, in Stokes County, the daughter of the late Foy Odell and Doris Irene Collins Morefield.  Karen worked at Hanesbrands in Winston-Salem for several years and was a member of Shield of Faith Baptist Church in Dobson.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry Dean Combs of the home; two sons, Steven Wayne Combs and Zackary Wayne Combs, both of Mount Airy; and a granddaughter, Lori Elizabeth Combs of Hillsville, VA.  A private graveside service will be held at King Community Church Cemetery.  No formal visitation will be held.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
