Karen Paulette Sechrist

Ms. Karen Paulette Zurcher Sechrist, 67, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday night, May 11, 2019, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Ms. Sechrist was born February 8, 1952, in Albuquerque, NM, the daughter of the late Robert Zurcher and Pauline Willard Zurcher Collins.  Karen worked as a waitress in several local restaurants throughout the years.  She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Evelyn and Darrell Bruner, Crystal and Jason Isaacs, and Kendra Dawson; a son, Travis McMillian; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Blaine Wright, Kelly Wallace, and Barney Wallace.  A memorial service will be held Monday, May 20, 2019, at 4:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
