Katherine "Kay" Forbis Wilmoth

Mrs. Katherine “Kay” Forbis Wilmoth, age 81, of Dobson, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born April 21, 1944, in Surry County, to the late Gray Forbis and the late Louise Wyrick Forbis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Darrell Wilmoth; and her brother, David Forbis.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons and daughters-in law, Bobby and Kaysa Wilmoth, and Jackie Scott and Stephanie Wilmoth; grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Jacob, Cody and Chase Wilmoth; great grandchildren, Willow and Jacklyn Wilmoth; sister and brother-in law, Carole and Steve Leftwich; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Rosemary and James Bledsoe, and Joann Wilmoth, and Celia Forbis; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Juanita Gillespie and Jessica Harris.

Visitation will be Sunday, July20th, 2025 from 1:30-2:00 PM at Crossroads Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Wall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Wilmoth family.
