Kathy Lauree Cox

Miss Kathy Lauree Cox, 51, of Mount Airy, went to be one of God's angels on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Miss Cox is survived by her parents, the Rev. David Fulton Cox, Sr. and Betty Ann Brown Cox of the home; her paternal grandmother, Laura Cox Melton of Mount Airy; a sister, Cindy Cox Perry of Pfafftown; a brother and sister-in-law, David Fulton Cox, Jr. and Robin Cox of Hamptonville; two nieces, Courtney Cox and Brittany Cox, both of Hamptonville; two nephews and a spouse, Keith Venable and Kevin and Carrie Venable, all of Mount Airy; and a great-niece, Sidney Kate Venable of Mount Airy. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and special friends. Miss Cox was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Fred Cox, Sr.; her maternal grandparents, P.L. and Kathleen Brown; and an uncle, Fred Cox, Jr. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 23, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Dover Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Gene Miller, the Rev. Tim Miller and the Rev. Bryan Thompson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Dover Baptist Church.
