Kathy Annette Napier Watson

Mrs. Kathy Annette Napier Watson, age 69, of Mount Airy passed away at her home on Sunday evening July 23, 2023.  She was born on May 27, 1954, in Nashville, TN to Thomas Napier and the late Viola Carlile Napier.  Kathy was a loving homemaker and loved spending time with her family and fur babies.  Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Gary Morgan Watson; her children, Gary Lee Watson and Melissa, Terry Watson and Amy, Rachel Wall and Dale, and Joshua Watson and Hannah; grandchildren, Trent, Autum, Zackery, Kaleigh, Wyatt, Layla, Jackson, Sawyer, and Jacob; 2 great-grandchildren; her father, Thomas Napier; siblings, Dennis and Carrie Napier, Connie Starkey, and Debbie and Jim Corday; and by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her mother, Kathy was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Lorraine Napier Arvidson.  A service of worship and celebration of Mrs. Watson’s life will be held on Thursday July 27, 2023, at 2:00pm in the Mount Airy Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Sawyers officiating.  No formal visitation will be held at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
