Kathy Darlene Tate

Mrs. Kathy Darlene Tate, 54, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Forsyth County on June 30, 1959 to the late Roy Joseph Odum and Ethel Corine McCraw. Mrs. Tate was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Tate of the home; a daughter, Lisa Tate and Jason Donathan of Mt. Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Lindsay and Mindy Tate of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Ashley, Britany, Katie, and Bailey Tate; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Midkiff, Diane Woods, Janet Odum all of Mt. Airy, Nancy and Kenneth McGee of Pilot Mountain, Sandy and Jim Kopack of Mineral, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Della Odum of Mt. Airy, Ervin and Frankie Odum of Siloam, James and Patsy Odum of Mt. Airy, Roy and Sue Odum of Dobson. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Smith, and Rev. Ray Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in Edwards-Upchurch Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
