Mr. Keith Bryan Vaught, age 65, of Claudville, Virginia, passed away peacefully in his home Monday night, April 15, 2024. Mr. Vaught was born September 14, 1958, to the late Charmaine Terry Atkins. He enjoyed his life and the time he got to spend with his family and friends and will be forever missed by the many that were blessed to have known him. Surviving Mr. Vaught is his loving wife of the home, Edith “Edie” Vaught; his kids and adorable grandchildren, daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Vaught and T. Eugene Day; son and daughter-in-law and their children, Kenneth Vaught and Vanessa (Ithaca, Willow, Ireland, and Milady); his step-children, Ashlee Freeman and Alex (Addison, Aaron), Haley Nichole (Riley, Raylin, Shawna), Kristin Bates and Alan (Eve, Cameron); siblings, Sandye Wallick and John, Mary Klaver and Ace, and Ellen Atkins. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eva Puckett; father, Clinton Atkins; brother, Bruce Atkins, and brother-in-law, Johnnie Puckett. Family and friends will be holding a celebration of life at the family home, 925 Red Bank School Road, Claudville, Virginia, 24076, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 3 PM. Friends and family are welcome to come and visit from 1 until 5 at the home, before and after the service. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Vaught family.
