Kenneth Michael Arrington

Mr. Kenneth Michael “Mike” Arrington, age 54, of Elkin, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, February 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 26, 1969, in Surry County. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Tina Marie Arrington; his daughter, Cassie Sneed Arrington; stepsons, Jonathan Gardner, and Toby Potts; grandchildren, Carson Soriano, Kannon Gardner, and Tripp Gardner; his mother, Rebecca Shumaker; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Tim Dawson; nephew, Joshua Sechrist; aunts, Gilda (Bob) Hamm, Valeria Hardy, Frances Marion, Dianne (Kenneth) Hardy; uncles, Norris Dollyhite, Rex (Linda) Arrington, and Ricky Arrington; and as close as brothers, Robby Hamm, Steven Hamm, Christopher Hamm;  his three special friends John (Burley) Arnett, Gene Wilson , and Brandon Combs Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by his father, Mike Shumaker and his grandparents, Grig and Vassie Dollyhite. 

            Mr. Arrington was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Mike loved his job and friends at Vitro Glass in Elkin. He loved all things outdoors, such as, fishing, hiking, hunting and kayaking, and his family, especially his daughter, Cassie. He also loved woodworking and building things from scratch. Visitation will be Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Blue Hollow Baptist Church. Services will begin at 2:00 PM, in the church, with Rev. Ricky Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Hollow Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Blue Hollow Baptist Church, 1195 Slate Mountain Road, Mount Airy NC 27030. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Arrington family.
