Kenneth Dwight Poindexter

Kenneth Dwight Poindexter, 88, of Dobson, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Born January 2, 1937, to the late Ralph and Callie Brendle Poindexter. Kenneth was affiliated with The Church of God. Kenneth proudly served his country in the military and was United States Air Force Master Sergeant retired. He was a master bird-dog trainer, and beekeeper. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Lucille Sprinkle Poindexter; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy Gwyn Laney, Karen Poindexter Vogler and Timothy, Jennifer Suzanne Brinkman, and Beverly Ann Poindexter Bauman and Mark; step son and daughter-in-law, Davey Len Ramsey and Roxanna; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Karen Hardy and Michael; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don Poindexter and Norma, and Dale Poindexter and Linda; as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Timothy Laney, and Kirk Stone; and brother and sister-in-law, Harry “Dean” Poindexter and Wanda. A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025, in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Joe Greene officiating. Flowers will be accepted, or monetary donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice at P.O. Box 325 Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Poindexter family.
