Kenneth Gus Pruitt

Mr. Kenneth Gus Pruitt Age 74 of 178 Burgundy Rd. Mt. Airy, NC. passed away Saturday July 13, 2013 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Pruitt was born May 16, 1939 in Wythe County, VA. to the late Leak Ed and Carrie Lephew Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt was a veteran of the US Army serving in Berlin and was a retired Plumber. One important day in his life was May 12, 2011, that was the day he gave his life to Jesus. Surviving are his wife Imogene Burcham Pruitt of the home, two sons and daughter-in-law David Wayne Pruitt of Mt. Airy and Charles Edward Pruitt and his wife Terri of Concord, three grandson Ty Pruitt, Owen Pruitt and Jack Pruitt, a niece Leigh Ann Pruitt Hall of Claudville, VA. and two brothers-in-law Stanley Werth Burcham of Aventura FL. and James Larry Burcham and his wife Ruth of Indianapolis IN. In addition to his parents Mr. Pruitt was preceded in death by three brothers Charles William Pruitt, James Franklin (Bill) Pruitt and Jerry Wayne Pruitt. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Ronnie Robertson with burial to follow in the Mt. Bethel Moravian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night 6 to 8 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
