Kim Bohannon Bledsoe, 61, of Elkin, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Born January 4, 1965, in Flint, Michigan to the late Simon Orrell and Goldie White Bohannon. If you were lucky enough to know Kim, you know how deeply she loved her people. Her husband, “RayBuck”, was her safe place and love of her life. Her girls and grandchildren were her proudest accomplishments and world. She lived boldly and loved God with a faith that could move mountains. Her sense of humor and laughter is something that those who knew her will cherish forever. We find comfort in knowing that she left this world and was welcomed into the arms of her beloved Jesus, mother, and father. Something she spoke about often. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Foley “Ray” Bledsoe; daughters and sons-in-law, Brooke Leonard “Slim” and Jason, Nicole Vernon “Cole-Train” and Garret, Laken Snow “Priss” and Travis, and McKenzie Bledsoe “Squeaker” and Jacob Rotenizer; 1 adopted child; 1 stepson; 18 grandchildren; a brother, Craig Bohannon; and special friends, Trish, Petra, and Dara. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by an adopted child; and a sister Stephanie. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Dobson. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Coe officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is respectfully serving the Bledsoe family.
