Kimberly Dawn Wood

Kimberly Dawn Wood, 30, of Abington, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 19, 2025. Born May 22, 1994, to the late Darryl Cletus Wood and Melissa Kim Hardy in Forsyth County, North Carolina. Kimberly was a joy to be around, lighting up any room she entered. Along with her mother, left to cherish her memory is her stepfather, Christopher Lee Patton; children, Ariel Jaylyn Milam and Levi Chase Wood; fiancé, Travis Hicks; sister, Courtney Bledsoe; nieces and nephews; Tristan Williams, Kylie Bledsoe, Wyatt Stanley, Madeline Hardy, Charity Beth Hardy, Eilan Hardy, and Ellie Hardy; as well as her aunts and uncles. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bob and Gerry Wood; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Nellie Hardy; uncle, Johnny Hardy; and special cousin, JJ Hardy. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM before the service. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Wood family.
