Lacy James Moseley

Mr. Lacy James Moseley age 95 of 212 Belvue Dr., Mt. Airy, NC husband of Mrs. Virginia Wilson Moseley passed away Tuesday morning, August 8, 2006 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Moseley was born May 31, 1911 to the late Elisha and Mamie Simpson Moseley. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II. He was a retired self employed building contractor and had worked on various tobacco markets. Mr. Moseley was a member of Union Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Virginia W. Moseley of the home, a daughter, Penelope "Penny" Moseley, Hillsville, VA, a son, Elder James Stephen Moseley , Mt. Airy, NC, three grandchildren and spouses, Mitone and Ronald Griffith, Galax, VA , Carl Moseley, Raleigh, NC, Debbie and Dillard Burnette, King, NC, four great grandchildren, Joshua Reynolds, and Danyelle Reynolds both of King, NC and James Jeremy Moseley Dawson, Elkin, NC, Lacy Gayle Griffith, Galax, VA, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moseley was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Mildred Moseley and 13 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Union Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder Stephen Moseley where his body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
