Laura Arzona Frady

Laura Arzona Frady, 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, June 8, 2025. She was born March 9, 1934 ,in Knobs Township, Yadkin County, North Carolina to Willie Gray and Rosabell Shoffner Hutchens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Frady, a grandson, Jamie Walker-Frady, a son-in-law, John Thomas Beane, Jr., her brothers Lonnie Hutchens and Oscar "Hack" Hutchens and her sisters Jennie Fox and Virgie Stanley. We are faithfully believing they greeted her as she passed over.

Left to cherish her blessed memory are her children, Bonnie Beane of Walnut Cove, Willie Frady of Georgia, Daphna and husband Carl Hisel of Hamptonville, Linda "Susie" and husband Joe Walker of Yadkinville, Kay and husband Eddie Cook of Dobson, Brian Frady and wife Jean of Westfield, Carol Henderson (Mark Morrison) of Rhonda, and (honorary son) James Gray and wife Mary Ann Frady of Walnut Cove; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Ruth Hutchens, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Laura was an amazing woman that was always trying to help others. She loved her family dearly and spent time with them as much as possible. She worked very hard to help provide for her family and loved nothing more than cooking for them. She will be missed terribly and the void will be palpable.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Rev. John Pittman and Johnny Mikels officiating. Burial will follow in the Bessies Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 325, Dobson NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Frady family.
