Laura Marie Hartman

Mrs. Laura Marie Hartman, 50, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Surry County on October 19, 1973, to the late Wanda Mae Phillips Hartman.  Mrs. Hartman worked at Surry Community Health and Rehab by Harbor View.  She is survived by her significant other, Keith Watson; stepdaughter, Alma Parsons, “Alex Star Wood”.  In addition to her mother Miss Hartman was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev. Lawrence Franklin Phillips and Loma McDowell Phillips.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kurt Vandrie officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.  The family will receive friends  Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.  The family request everyone to wear Pink or bright colors because she was as bright as the sun.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Laura can be made to Keith Watson, 175 Lantern Ln., Mt.
