Laura Lee Coon Hege, 55, of Winston-Salem died Monday, September 3rd, 2018 at her home. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Allan Gregory Coon and Barbara Ray Kimbrough Roerig Coon.

Laura was a graduate of Surry Central High School and UNCG. She was an accounting instructor at Surry Community College and a caring wife and mother in later life.  

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents John Kimbrough, and Goldie Ray Kimbrough Roerig; Paternal grandparents Jasper Ellis Coon and Grace Lilliam Gregory Coon; brother in-law Keith Jerome Hege; niece Samantha Suzanne Hege.

Survivors include her husband of the home; George Barron “Barry” Hege, two sons of the home, Benjamin Ross and Quintin Alexander Hege; one sister, Debra Allison Coon Hege; a nephew, Nicholas Tyler Hege; a niece, Sydney Lauren Hege; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, September 7th, 2018 11:30 am at Moody-Davis Funeral

Home in Dobson. A celebration of life will be held 12:30pm. A private burial will be held at Dobson City

Cemetery.
