Laurie Ann Goins Marshall

Mrs. Laurie Ann Goins Marshall, 42, of Ararat, VA. passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her home. She was born in Surry County on January 30, 1973 to Marilyn Shelton Irvin and the late William "Bud" Merritt Goins. Mrs. Marshall was a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Claudville, VA. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Marshall is survived by her husband, Darren Marshall of the home; two sons, Devin and Tristen Marshall both of the home; three sisters, Jan Goins of Cana, VA, Teresa Ingram, Melissa Smith both of Ararat, VA; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Velda Marshall of Ararat, VA; a sister-in-law, Shelley Odum of Ararat, VA; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Harrison and the Rev. Rick Byerly officiating. Burial will follow in Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home 206 West Pine St., Mt. Airy, NC 27030 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
